Bitcoin adoption is spreading like wildfire but how do you actually go about spending it? That's the question we aim to tackle in this article.
For the purposes of this article we're going to focus on using Electrum, the default bitcoin software included with Darknet Bros’ systems.
A Bitcoin Wallet
A bitcoin wallet is the digital address where bitcoins are stored. The address is represented by a long string of characters or sometimes by a black and white square QR code.
You can open Electrum by clicking the icon at the top of your DarknetKey or DarknetBox home screen. Your bitcoin wallet address is listed under the ‘Receive’ tab in Electrum.
Sending bitcoin from your wallet to another wallet
Once we have bitcoin in our wallet, you can send bitcoin from your wallet to another wallet using Electrum’s ‘Send’ tab. Simply type your recipient’s address in the ‘Pay to’ box followed by the amount before clicking ‘Send’.
And there you have it! You’ve just sent your first bitcoin payment. The actual transaction will take anything from 10 minutes to a couple of hours, depending on how sure the recipient wants to be of funds having cleared through the bitcoin network.
If you want to track the status of the transaction then you can search the transaction ID on the Blockchain. People tend to wait for 6 payment confirmations before the payment is considered complete.
